PERFORMING ARTIST

As a proud member of SAG/AFTRA, I am a dancer, singer and actor with performances in theatre, movies, TV, print ads, voice-overs and commercials. Acting performances have included theatre and film with critical acclaim on stages in New York City and Chicago. My background also includes decades of dance training and performing – and I am thrilled to appear before crowds of 20,000+ as a Chicago Bulls Swingin’ Senior Dancer. I also travel the world as a small ensemble and big band vocalist with performances that focus on America’s classical music – jazz and blues; and, am a newly-minted arts ambassador in the Arts Envoy Exchange Program with the United States State Department’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.

DR. BARBARA

SIZEMORE

Educator · Activist · Author

“The cry of the ghetto is being heard by a nation with its fingers in its ears.”

Dr. Barbara A. Sizemore was a powerhouse educator and activist who believed that regardless of socio-economic background, all children had the ability to learn and grow academically. Early on, she embraced the nexus between the arts and intellectual development, and was a proponent of arts and education initiatives. My third-grade teacher, she anchored me through family struggles, and became a mentor and champion. I learned these values from her and have applied them to my arts integration work with diverse populations.
